Blog#13
Okay, so my group and I are now down and over with the 20% project of the Choc Hospital. We did not accomplished what we planned to accomplished. Well, I mean we did accomplished on making the 150 bracelets. It was not easy to make the bracelets, when we were making them with our fingers it made our fingers hurt. We went two the Choc Hospital personality to talk to the staff members about donating the bracelets to the children. But we never got a response back, my group and I called and even emailed them but never got a response. We then decided to pass them out to our classmates after we were done with our presentation. They seemed pretty happy with a bracelet, well at least thats what I think. Even though our 20 percent project was a fail, I still learned something from all this its teamwork and determination. As a group we all got closer and learned to work together.

Blog #2
So like I have said in my last blog, we decided to make rainbow loom bracelets for the boy patients. i somewhat know how to make the loom bracelets because my little niece showed me once how to make them. Their are different types of loom bracelet patterns and colors to make. Their are some many patterns to make that you have no idea what theses loom bracelets can created, one can even create a Despicable Me minion character loom bracelet how cool is that ! The different patterns one can make are single, square single, fishtail, double band fishtail, triple single, diamond, and bonbon. Theses are just a few patterns there is more patterns. Loom bracelets are created with small round plastic colorful rubber bands that can be bought at any crafts store. My group and I are going to purchase the loom bracelet supplies at the Michael's craft store. We also, decided to go with the basic loom bracelet pattern which is called single. I bought a small bag of loom bracelet rubber bands and I have been watching videos on how to make the loom bracelets and I'm starting to make progress. So. hopefully soon me and my group will start to make the amount needed and they are also learning how to make the single pattern. At first it was confusing learning how to make theses bracelets but now I'm starting to get the hand of it.
The picture below shows a few a the different patterns.

Blog #1
So now we have the material for that is needed for the bracelets. We went to the Michael store in Buena Park, and found the material we needed for the bracelets. While we were in class with my group talking about our project, Ms. Ruger passed by and asked if everything was okay. Then she gave us the idea of making rainbow loom bracelets. We decided to take her idea of making rainbow loom bracelets but for the boy patients. We were having trouble deciding what kind bracelets to make for the guy patients, but now Ms. Ruger gave us the idea of the rainbow loom bracelets for only the guy patients. For the girl patients we already have the bracelets for them. So now we are going to the buy the materials needed for the loom bracelets. I'm excited to make the loom bracelets because they are fun to make and they look so cool.

Post #8 We are sure of our choice now
On my other blog I said that my group and I had thought of changing our project. But we decide to just go with we had said in the first place. I do we realize that we haven't done much but we need to step on it and put more effort in our project. So our step now is to still go to the Choc hospital and ask about the bracelet material and then go tot he store and buy the materials. We then have planned to divide the work and go to each others houses to make the bracelets. We also have planned to bring the materials into class and work on the bracelets on 20% day which is each Wednesday. I really want to do this project because I'm going to be making a patient at the hospital happy and I feel good making a person happy . So yeah, my group and I will put more effort and time into this project so it can become an success.
Post #7 We decided to make a change
So, my partners and I had in mind to change our project to something else. What we had in mind was to make our project in helping the army. What we had planned to do is make gift baskets to the army people and also to write inspiring letters to them. We thought of going to the Army recruiting center to get information. There are many locations to go to the Army center but, we have in mind in going to the one on Euclid. We all three live by there so it was good because we can just meet up there. We had came up with the idea of making the gift baskets with useful tools for them. Like deodorant, soap bars, toothpaste, and like toothbrushes and any other necessaries they need to use. What we decided to do with the letters is ask other people to get involve if they want and help us write inspiring letters.
Poat #6 Not going to the Choc hospital
So my group and I haven't gone to the Choc hospital. We say we are going but we don't end up going because one of us has to go do something else. I know its not okay for us to be lagging it on going but we must go sometime soon to go ask about the bracelet material. We need to get started as soon as possible on the bracelets. We had planned to go take them but instead we decided to mail them through UPS. Hopefully they get received at the hospital because my group and I will work very hard on the bracelet because its not easy to make bracelets it take time and patience. So. hopefully we can go to the hospital and get our project moving forward. I'm pretty excited to be making bracelets because I like making bracelets and especially because its going to be for a good cause. The sad picture face is because we haven't gone to the Choc hospital like we said we would.
Okay, we my group and me were discussing the bracelet materials and that what kind they should be, but it came to us that we have to be careful in making the bracelets. The reason why we need to be careful in making the bracelets is because theses patients have cancer and they are very sensitive and they are also delicate. Their skin may also be sensitive to some things. So we've been thinking, and thinking on what materials we should use and we can't think of anything. So we decided that it would be best if we go and ask at the Choc hospital. Also, that way we don't make a mistake in using the wrong material for the bracelets. So our step is to go the hospital and go ask at the front desk about the material and if it would be okay to use beads for our bracelets.
